Is it still possible to get a Zulu Grey hone?

I'm quite curious as to what they feel like. I've heard that they were only sold by one man though, and that was a few years ago, so I'm not sure if they're still being sold.

I've checked invisible edge, SRD, ebay, etc. The closest I've been able to find so far was a page on the strop shop, saying they were sold out.

hah, yea. I was actually just looking at it. I quite like the sound of that barber hone version.

I have a 6x2 and love it. I follow a 13k Sigma hone with it, and the edges are just superb. They do take some playing around with to get use to, but so does every natural hone. You wont regret buying one if you do.

I have the 8x3 and use it after my Charnely and/or Coti on thicker blades. Works the edge very, very well.
Still can't make much slurry on mine, but as a final finisher I don't need much more than water.
It's a wonderfully fine stone that will have a place in your kit.

+1 - excellent finishing stone for every razor I've tried it with (about 20 or 30 now) - VERY dense though. Slurry is easier to raise on a freshly lapped stone/slurry stone. A bit slow but very forgiving.

I have an 8x3 and am considering adding a 2x6 for touchups.. but the 3x5..that's a nice size for sure.
