Hi,
Would it be wise to use marble lapping stones for hone lapping? I can get the lapping stone below from 16 to 400 grit:

Thanks.

What in the world is that thing? Marble (if flat) would work as a backing for wet/dry or for loose grit lapping. Not sure what the plan is with that contraption though.
What are you lapping?
For synthetics, 320 grit Wet and Dry over anything flat or a Diamond plate.
For hard Naturals, a teaspoon of loose 60 or 80 Silicone Carbide on a cookie sheet with a bit of water, on flat cement floor, work up to Wet & Dry.
