Default The Vintage Boxed Hone Club

The only thing better than a coticule, is a coticule in an old box! So a new club is started, wherein we all post pictures of our vintage boxed cotis. Must be vintage, must be boxed. And we might discuss anything related to their use, performance, and background.

As usual, everything seems upside down, lol. Anyone wanting clearer pictures of labels or surface, just let me know.

A coticule 22x4,5 cm (probably era of Napoleon III) in his paddle and green leather case gilded friezes with silver medallion.
    A very fine, polishing stone.

Vintage and very nice wooden boxed Coticule, medium-fast stone, quite hard....
Its not a Turkey Oil Stone :-) however the box is from 1898..

Beautiful - Napoleon III, literally my jaw dropped seeing that - stunning, how is the edge from the stone?

They are out there and do surface from time to time; averages about four a year for me. many get passed onward.

I am sorry that I got ahead of myself...not a Coticule! I shall photograph and post at least one or more ""Coticules"" in penance!

Way to go Richard, Great finds.

Cheezy pickers around here have picked up most of the good stones, I have yet to find a treasure stone, but, ya never know, someday maybe.
