So recently I bought a Naniwa 10k sharpening stone. And They advice (obviously) to use the dressing stone for flattening out/cleaning your sharpening stone. Does anyone have experience with using these dressing stones and using them?

So recently I bought a Naniwa 10k sharpening stone. And They advice (obviously) to use the dressing stone for flattening out/cleaning your sharpening stone. Does anyone have experience with using these dressing stones and using them?
I'd rather use a diamond nagura. If your dressing stone is brick red, it's either 400 or 600 grit, and it does clean the surface of the stone off, but a diamond hone will do that without leaving any particles behind.
If you use the naniwa dressing stone, rinse off the surface of your stone before you finish a razor on it.
Those red brick style dressing stones are superb for taking rust off of knives and tools (supposing you soak them), though, because they're aggressive and they're a handy size for that kind of thing.
