    Default Hone purpose?

    Find some interesting stone locally

Box said "Hone "Microrund" for razor stropping".

Below I can see parts of the manual which explain how to use it: wet stone with the soap water, put razor flat and move it toward the blade"... So it's stone for honing, not for striping as the name said.

What I'd like to know is have anybody used similar stones? I want to know if I can use it as finish stone instead of 10-12k?

For now I hone on 8k synthetic stone and afterwards use pasted strop.

I'd like to add some finish stone and during my search find this one.

As I know Microrund was pretty popular Soviet barber stones and I hope somebody used them.

Being a synthetic hone it can be any grit size. You will have to try on a practice razor to find out. I guess it should be razor edge finishing quality.

    I have 2 news:
    1. The stone is gone, I was late
    2. I made some research on Russian britva.ru. And they agreed that stone originally have approx 3000 grit, but during use it became obstructed with dirt and became closer to 6000 grit. The stone can be use to bevel setting, but not very good as finish stone,

Maybe somebody will search similar information in future
