Can someone tell me if these stones would be good for SR use? I'm considering ordering them - thinking ahead. Thanks! Attachment 258355

Can you provide a link to item? Norton 4000 /8000 combo is a good hone, but they don't look like that.

I don't know of these specifically, but other people have attempted to buy "off brand" hones and found them to be completely useless. A grit rating is no guarantee of functionality.
If you feel lucky, go ahead and buy them. However, you may find that you later have to buy another set of hones that actually work.
Also, it sounds as though you will be new to honing. In that case you are much better off sticking to something that hundreds have used with success. If you are having trouble there will be many that have experience with the same hones that you have. If you are using unknown hones, no one will be able to give relevant advice.
It is very light but says NORTON above combination. I don't know stones but others will be able to let you know.
The model number in that picture is the same as the Norton's everyone uses. The picture is just not what people are used to seeing apparently.
