    It's a very fine pre-polisher for me tho I have shaved off it. Very quick to clean up an 8k finish.

    Definitely closely related I can get a great edge right after 1K, but it takes some time, and clear water (or glycerin) for the finish.

    Here is mine, I love it very nice edges. Even a little better than the yg/blue thuri and thats saying something. I too had the naniwas for about ten years but thuris and nakayamas are definately better for smoothness. Like butter they say.
