Newest acquisition (Water of Ayr)?
Picked this up last week as a bit of a gamble as I liked the look of the saw marks on the end of the stone, in very good condition and took minimal effort to lap
Stone is very soft and extremely fine, smell so kind of clay like when slurried and slurries up a light briwn grey colour which dries blueish
The surface pattern is what intrigued me, as the only other time I've seen the black hairlines running through the Stone was on another WOA
It doesn't have dark circles but it has little different textures circles which can be seen in the right light but aren't a different colour
Tested the stone with heavy slurry after a coti edge diluting every 25 laps ( 3 dilutions) and finishing with 50 just water laps. The edge was incredible and actually a massive surprise, it felt silky smooth to Hone on but I was still pleasantly surprised by how keen the edge was, hanging hair test passed with ease and an excellent Shave was had, so it's definitely a finisher
At 8 x 2" its a chunk and a half too
