Another coticule vein guessing game

Hi guys,

I picked up my new coti today (selected version, 6"x1.6" in size) and been looking at photos for the last few hours trying to guess what vein this belongs to.
The overall appearance is more redish than all the coti's I've seen so far with some faint streaks across. There are also some red-brownish speckles embedded in the surface of the rock (freckle like).
I only did a quick lapping with a worn 320 grit w/d and it seems medium hard, releasing slurry without too much effort (the triangular slurry stone on the right is much harder).

Any idea about the vein on this one?

La grise maybe I am not expert

Unless it came stamped or graded and labeled you will need to test for performance characteristics which is all that matters. Guessing vein names is useless. Here is a picture of a hard coticule that is manmade with red freckles and slate backing.. Most any stone will slurry with 320 grit. BTW this manmade coti is an outstanding finisher. Very slow but very fine.

I agree, the vein name does nothing when it comes to honing, but that's not the reason I'm asking.
As with most things shaving, functionality is not the only aspect that keeps us all hooked.
I find the stone quite interesting in appearance and I'd like to find out more about it. In terms of performance characteristics, I'm sure some quality time with the stone will reveal a lot.

Looking more at it and the pictures from coticule.be, I get the impression this may be a La Dressante.

If its modern my money is Les Petas. The bluish texture on the side is what makes me think that. Is it sort of gravelly to hone on?

I would say no.
The feedback I get is quite smooth and with a good draw (I'd be inclined to say buttery), both with slurry and water only.

They can go either way I've had about 4 of them some gravelly some smooth and fairly slow.
