Is it a "schwedenstein" thuringian hone?

Dear Straight-Friends,

recently I've came accross with this guy.
The stone was in a quite used condition and had a lot of scratches.
Once surface was lapped and polished a bit a nice stripped/layered pattern with red and black lines came out.
The strips look like this stone were composed from 5 thin layers.

The hone is quite hard (harder than my black thuri) and produces light grey slurry.
I've finished a Fili14 on that with "thick slurry" - method and the shave was very effortless, smooth and close.

Now I am trying to understand what it is.
I could find some sample images from the thuringian "Schwedenstein" hone, which may also have those black/red lines but have never seen the striped structure like this.

Any suggestions guys?

That is a great looking stone. What are the dimensions?

175mm x 50mm
Actually it was 200mm but I needed a slurry stone of the same material...

Not a Schwedenstein in my opinion. No idea what else it could be. Great find anyway!

I agree and don't know either.

Iam quite sure its a Chinese C12k, Guanxhi or whatever those are called

Very cool looking stone. It reminds me of a Thurigan, with lots of Inclusion's. I have a B/G Escher, Barbers delight, with a brown red inclusion similar to that.

Looks similar to a stone I grabbed on the bay. The white lines. No red/brown yet, but in the forth picture you can see that it will be coming through at some point.

I picked it up because it was cheap and the saw marks are similar to that of thuri’s. It’s a very odd shape, but very comfortable for hand honing. The inclusions have no effect. I’d say it has a middle hardness. Between my thuri’s and la’lune. Great finisher. Great find enjoy it!

If it is 25mm thick, then the dimensions are right for the standard Chinese hone sold by woodcraft. I'm not sure it's a Chinese hone, though all of the markings except for that bit of red do seem to look right.
