I finished a Hayashi last night on the 0.44 and shaved with it this morning. Take a 1-shave opinion with a grain of salt, but the edge was very smooth and cut easily and closely - no ‘remnants’ at all after 2 passes. The edge did not seem quite as smooth and forgiving as a good jnat, but then not much is.
I can see this as the ultimate ‘barber hone’ for a traveling kit bag, it’s a very fast stone as to be expected from a Shapton Glass HR type.
The normal price is a little high, but then too these are 7mm stones, not the usual 5mm so you are getting almost 50% thicker abrasive.
