Vintage Coticule Haul
Purchased these beauties from an antique tool dealer. The large one is 2.5 inches wide and is very heavy. I’ve never used a coticule this large before and it came in a very handsome wood box.
The smaller one is stamped “Genuine Belgian water hone” and appears to have never been used.
Both are natural combos and are very fine, no visible autoslurrying, the large one being a slower cutter. I really enjoyed using them and they put on a great edge.
Very happy with these new additions to the coticule family.

Holy cow, those are stunning, Zayid. If I didn't have such nice ones myself, I might have been ever so slightly envious.

May they bring you many good shaves!

Beautiful coticules!!
I have a wooden box with that same symbol, by the way. Mine is smaller, though, it’s about 6” long. I use it to hold my 5/8 razors.

Very nice coticules Zayid, can you show some side pictures?
There are manganese lines and dots and I think I can see a reddish taint in both stones. So most probably La Dressante layer.
Have fun with this old treasuries!

Oh great! It’s always nice to have new layers and sizes. I’ve always wanted to have a petite blanche.
