I posted under the basic caption and thought that I would also try here.
A local hadware/woodworking specialty store has one of these. They are rated at 10,000 grit.
Anyone have experience with this stone?
Thanks!

They're supposedly the same as the Kitayama reviewed here by forzato.

Thanks.
Is there one japanese manufacturer that makes these stones for several companies?
I guess once you get into the 8000/10000/12000 range some of this becomes subjective.
If nothing else, I like the logo...
I found a british razor site where they reccomended the Ice bear 6000/10000 combination stone over the Norton 4000/8000 because the Ice bear stones are much easier to get on that side of the pond.
Other than that one refrence I don't kow anything.
Well;
I am gathering my goods, but really have no real experience honing yet.
I will let you know how it works for me.
Thanks everyone.
