What stone could this be?
I was wondering if any of you could tell me what kind of stone this was. I have been trying to flatten it, but seems to be a hard job. It just keeps eating away the sandpapers... It does not seem to get enough of p200, 320 and 400.
Is it worth flattening at all? I did not plan to use it on razors, rather on knives, but I am sure you know better!

I don’t think it would be useful for razors, too coarse.
If it had been an oilstone then it could be used for getting small chips out before using a finer water stone
