That looks like a nice vintage Coticule stone!
Congrats with your find.
It might also be Natural occuring in which the blue and coticule seems met. I've purchased one from Howard in which the seem was absolutely straight even though it was a natural. Some semto look like a manufactured stone as the stone seem looks absolutely straight. MikeB
Just curious, how do I fit this stone into a hone rotation of Norton 220/1000, 4k/8k, and a chinese 12k? Any help/ comments would be appreciated.
Thanks
If the razor needs honing but already has the bevel set try the blue side with slurry for some laps diluting the slurry as you go with the spray bottle. When your TPT feels like you are where you want to be and you can pop hair with it go to the yellow with water only. Strop and shave test.
As far as where the coticule fits, I expect in between the 8K and the 12K although it might equal the 12K depending on your particular stone. You can play around with it using it with slurry and without, You will get to know the stone as you work with it and where it fits in.
