no idea but will better if contact with them and ask about it before you purchase one.
If memory serves, someone on Badger and Blade, was claiming that is a Thuringian.

+1 with what Sham said. I recall that Tony Miller used to stock Thuringans and found that a percentage of what was sent to him had inclusions which made them unusable as razor hones. I believe it got to the point where the percentage of hones with inclusions became high enough that he discontinued selling them. You might ask if they are inclusion free if they are Thuringans.
C-Mon hone in box with instructions was found when my uncle passed along with three like brand new rAzors henckels, clauss. and the other I forgot the name but what a find
I agree with Jimmy on this. Cmon hone which i have one and love to use it. it does bring your edge right back where is was before. enjoy using it.
Well emailed supplier and had a reply saying everyone has always been perfect.So might have to invest in one,especially at that price.
As your probably aware the thuringen hones vary in hardness and grit size. Probably the worst will be a 6000 grit and up to a 10,000 at best.
It will have a place in the honing process.:)
looks like a chinese "12k" to me.
The price would also match.
