Taiwanese Blackstone?
Just wanted to ask if any members here were familiar with this stone. It's mentioned some way down the page in this blog 鋸-鉋-鑿 (Nokogiri-Kanna-Nomi) but I haven't been able to find out anything more about it, i.e where one can be purchased. With an estimated 10-15k grit it would be worth trying at least.
Regards,
Alex

I have a Taiwanese stone, but I do not know if it is what they are calling a blackstone. I stumbled across it by accident and have not seen another one since.
I'd say at a rough estimate mine is around 10K and it cuts better than my Narutakis, particularly with a slurry.
But apart from that I know nothing more about the stone.

I wonder if this one might be a re-sell of the chinese hones? I would class them in that grit range, and mine is a dark charcoal color that might be considered black.....
If it's something different, I'm interested when somebody finds a place to buy them from! LOL :fim:
