    Default Stone ID help plz :)

    Can anyone help identify this stone? It's supposed to be slate.

    Not sure if this stone would be good for a razor or not

    Hi Rob, this one is was on my watch list too, thinking it might be something other than just slate. Now that I see the second picture, I'm not going to bid on it anymore. To me it looks like slate, cut at an angle to the strata. The two tones are interesting, but it doesn't seem a very fine stone.

    Yeah, the seller sent me the close up pics. The "line" in the stone made me wonder as well. I think I am going to pass on it as well. for 15.50 GBP for shipping, I'd rather not take a chance on it. Money is tight as it is
