    Grits on barber hones are unknown, but I would guess they are approximately 10-12k-ish (at least the ones I've played with)

    Not all barber hones same. they will differ each other.
    in your case try to get.
    King midas
    franz swaty
    Keen cutter
    duble duck
    velvet edge
    Lakeside
    Cmon
    Any of them will do the job. Prices will go up Example most expensive one will be in the list is C mon 2 sided.

    There are a lot more out there but if you can get any of them you should be fine.

    Also look at balsa hones.
    A pair of balsa hones one with 1.0 or 2.0 micron diamond
    and another with CrOx can be a cost effective
    solution for some, especially if you make your own.
