Heh. Well, yes, you have a point, Jimmy. Though you can have something that is old but not used - and you can have soemthing used but not old....(think a beat up cell phone, or paperback, bought last year - not "vintage" or "antique", or a NOS razor in flawless condition from 100 yrs ago...).
I have to agree with Jimmy's original assesment. It does look a lot like a Chinese 12k, and the dimensions are perfect....
It arrived today. It appears to be coarse carborumdum. The photo made it look greenish, but it was actually grey.
