I have been working the coticule for the past 6 months. I was happy with the edges, but I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I got a 6X2 Yellow-Gray escher w/ slurry stone. It lapped up well. I tried it out this morning on a W&B bow. I did half of my face, the edge was good but not quite up to snuff. I did 10 strokes on the escher with just water and then resumed. I did notice a difference. The overall result was a BBS with one usual trouble spot. All in all, a promising first attempt.
