Again this is no Personal conversation. when we say something we talk about in General .Certain stones how they act which % will suite for putting finishing edge to the straight razor. etc.
We are not talking about the stone to use sharpen knives etc.
You may be have Great coticule and love to use it. Nothing wrong with it.Enjoy .

One observation is that some of those coticules that don't do well with razors will work with knives and tools in general and were sold for that purpose. Kinda like some JNats are for sharpening swords and others for razors etc.
