    Default Two Oozuku (Pic Heavy)

I recently got a new Oozuku Assagi from Maksim at JapaneseNaturalStones. I've used it a few times in conjunction with my new nagura. I've really gotten great edges. Of course, in true HAD fashion, the stone you have is never good enough. Thus, I received today my second Oozuku. This one comes from Morihei in Tokyo. It is a Oozuku Suita (no su). I haven't tried it out yet, but thought I'd share a bit of stone pr0n with all of the rock hounds...

It's not like you'll see me throwing stones on that account!

Thank you, it is tall. It's not a really large stone surface area, but perfect size for a palm hone--especially because you can hold it without exposing your fingers to danger!

Do you see any difference in performance of these stones? They look too different to me.

I've just started to test them for that purpose. I did a test shave off the Oozuku Suita today. Tomorrow I'll be doing a test shave with the same razor honed in the same fashion on the Oozuku Assagi.

I will try to post my results as they develop...

funny coincidence, the kanji is also used for the adjective 'expensive'.
    Which was probably true enough
Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

It's also the first character in my wife's maiden name (Takahashi/高橋)... coincidence? I think not!
