    "This is very interesting stone. i have took as close as i can pictures.
    i have never had time to test this but will do so soon.
    it comes from England. i had more then year ago .
    very heavy may be 5-7 pound range .
    very old because it has been cut not with saw there is no saw marks.
    Stone is a lot softer any arkansas ,turkey oil stone or charnley .f..
    it is harder then eschers.
    this is all i can say.

    Are those photos after it's cleaned and lapped?

    first 2 picture are face of the stone. yes it has been lapped and cleaned. side pictures are not.
    it is oil stone Jimmy you are correct . if you pay attention you will see there is white color lines seems like in same distance from each other on the stone.
