If that's the case, my guess is that it's a Thuri. The Chinese 12k stones are very hard. I've had a Chinese 12k and I've now got a Thuri and whilst the Chinese 12k was a very good finisher, especially for the price, the Thuri is alot better.

If it was relatively soft and easy to lap I would learn towards a thuri.

I am going to keep convincing myself that it's a Thuri, whether it is or not! LOL.
I don't know what color slurry the PHIG gives, but my thuri (which is gray like a dark suit) gives up a yellow-green-brown slurry. It also, on very close inspection, has what look like sediment lines. Oh, and the slurry smells quite sweet.
Don't know if these are unique to Thuris; one of my coticules also smells quite sweet while the other is more neutral.
