Please lap it down and post another pic as well as one of the side. It may be a coticule...
I think it's probably a Thuringian and tipped the person about it who came in second :D
Congrats.
Thank you, gents. I don't received the stone yet, I will keep updating with pictures after I lapped,
what kind of thuringian can be so light. Even the yellow green Escher are darker. And yes, thank you second bidder !!!!!
Regards
Livio
I was bidder #2..sorry I cost you a few bucks.
My guess is its a light green, yellow green, or light grey thuringian... the colors of the photo are off due to the blue background. Enjoy!
edit: I wouldnt be surprised if its actually 1 5/8 wide, as thats a common size for these.
Hello gents, I received the stone yesterday, I laped, and give it a try. Is green olive in colour,is 7x1.5x3/4, it make a clay like white slurry and after 20 passes on slurry and 10 on water , I had a very nice edge. I think I got a winner, when I lapped still have some papper sticker on the sides,
but I can't read anything. Is even a little bit lighter than green olives when is dry.So is safe to say
is a thuringian, light green or yellow green? This is my first meeting with a thuringian, I am a coticule user mostly, I am sure it won't be last one. Thank you again gents for your toughts.
And thank you Brad for not pushing the price to high.I will post some pics when I will find my camera, I just moved.
Warm regards
Livio
You have a winner, I was lucky enough to find one a few weeks ago and I really like the finishing properties of it honing on water. I got my first honest HHT3 off it. Don't let it go, they are getting harder to find. I only wish i knew a year ago what I know now! I passed a couple by.
