    Default New stone -Wakasa

Recently Max from Japanese Natural Stones
while talking to me mentioned that he is getting some new razor finishing stones from Wakasa.
He knows I like to test different stones from varios mines so as soon as he had the stones and tested them he let me know that there is a few available and I as a diligent sucker for J-nats I jumped right in.

After I played with my Wakasa for about 20 razors I confirmed what Max told me, very fine and fast cutting stone. A big plus about this stone is that it is not super hard and that means it is easier to use which makes it perfect beginner stone.
I tested on many carbons as well as a few stainless blades and the results were very consistent -a nice smooth edge.

I've never tried Wakasa. Looks unusual, very plain color.
