Picked up a Veribest hone... what can you tell me about it?

I picked this up today at an antique store. I haven't heard of Veribest before. What can you tell me about it?

It looks to date from possibly the '20s-'30s.

Looks like a barber hone to me! :) good score, it looks to be in very good condition.

They're usually about 8-10k and you use them with a splash of water and about half a dozen X strokes when the razor starts to dull.
