I bought a chinese 12k, but it didn't look exactly like this. With my limited experience, I seem to be able to see positive results while using it; however, it did require quite a bit of lapping.
Thanks. Mostly I'm just hoping that it's not too poor a quality because of the price.
The seller is reputable, and the stones are good. They're naturals, so they vary - but it is a good stone for the money.
The picture of the stone has been altered to make it more noticeable in the eBay ads. This is about what it should look like:Attachment 90818
We just started the C-Nat-athon and it's all about these stones. http://straightrazorpalace.com/honin...nat-athon.html
I bought one of those and they are pretty good once you lapp them. They are more of a grey/black color. The only drawback was the one I received had wet saw marks about 2/16th inches deep. I had to lap it on some coarse dmt's, so it was time consuming and if its from the same seller he doesn't lap them. You get the stone and a slurry stone. But for the price their work giving them a try.
Thanks a bunch you guys. I will check out the c-nat-athon.
I just thought of another question. Occasionally when I'm finishing my razor I get a sort of suction that makes the razor stick and sometimes dig in and mess up the edge. Drawing the blade across the stone would solve the problem but most people don't do that with an 8k. Suggestions?
They are good quality. Excellent quality for a low
price.
