That is a beautiful razor, does the hole fill any role or does it exist only for its aesthetic value?
Blade holes seem to be all the rage of late. From an aerodynamic standpoint, they will cut down on wind resistance, so the WTG pass should be far more effortless. At least thats the way I see it:)
Nah, that's for the blade to whistle while you attack an opponent twirling the razor in the air. :tameshigiri:
Oh, of course! :gaah:
Just ordered an 8x3. I'm stoked. Can't wait to bring some more smooth into my sharp. The Zulu appears to be able to make those two things come together instead of being one or the other. If it ends up being true. I will probably order more so that my son in laws will have a life time supply of something that will inevitably not last forever.
The Zulu is my first natural stone. It took me a while to figure out how to get a good edge from it. But I finally worked through it and am loving it. Smooth and sharp is what the Zulu delivers. I’ve found that using a rather thick slurry is what works best. And if it gets diluted too fast, its best to re-establish it before going to plain water.
