So I'm about to buy a naniwa 12k stone and was checking out SRD and sharpeningsupplies.com, when I noticed that on SRD the stone is pink, and on the other site, it's pictured as white. Are they different?

I think it is just an old picture on SRD.
I bought my ss12K from there more than 2 years ago, and it is a white stone.
There have never been put anything up by Naniwa or any other source about any difference except the coloring as far as I have seen.
10xSuppress,
My first Naniwa 12k SS was pink; my new one is white.
Have fun !
Best regards
Russ
Its OK the white ones are 12.001K :rofl2:
Mine is the Pink one...
Nic, I was pretty sure you would know that the Pink coloring has a slightly Higher grit rating then the White so the Pink Naniwa is actually 12.002 K Muhahahahaha
:nj
Russ you should have kept the Pink one :rofl2:
@the OP we are kidding there is no difference that I have ever seen ....
Haha! I actually contacted SRD and they said the same as you guys. White one is just the newer version :)
the mine is white
Glenn,
:)
My pink 12k was broken by my cat Max - he knocked it off my workbench; why & what he was honing in the middle of the night escapes me !
Have fun !
Best regards
Russ
His claws Russ, he was honing his claws.
Mine prefer a coticule but find it hard to use the slurry stone.
