Default ID help needed on this green and black veined stone

I now somehow have 2 of these stones and have not been able to find any information on them anywhere. I would say they are rather like the DT in feel and grit, but not the finest finishers, but nearly there.
Stones have been lapped and the slurry is shown dry and wet and some detailed shots. The colour is accurate on my computer. They work very well with water and have not tried with oil

If is a kind of marble I think to have one too, a very soft stone when you lap with dmt.
I have the suspect that this is a Fiddish river stone, but unfortunely I haven't found more info or a stone with a label to compare.
If is an hard stone could be a Llyn Idwal.

I have one too albeit more blueish that I bought from a Dutch antique shop. The owner takes trips to foreign countries in search of antique tools and this stone came with 2 Grecian like LIs, a large LI and a slipstone LI. Might have been coincidence of course but if I had to guess I'd say LI It does differ significantly from the other types LI so it could easily be another type of stone.

I don't remember having seen one with a label, perhaps Neil or adrspach know more.

I don't have a clue but in some of the photos it looks like marble. But that's easy to test cause marble is just CaCO3 and is pretty soft so if you have some quartz or feldspar try scratching it and see what happens. The black veins could be iron or manganese.

Thanks for the replies. I do not think it is marble as it will abrade well tempered tools as well as any other stone. I have one stone that I am sure is a LI and they are nothing like these, not hard enough and does not have characteristics of novolite, more of a slate type makeup IMHO as it slurries like the slate hones I have.

If it was marble a drop of acid would produce a fizz. That's the old Geology lab routine.
