Does anyone have experience with these hones? I noticed them on a woodcarving site.

Supposedly they are forever flat. I guess they will never need lapping. Also, the ad says non-lubricating. No oil or water, so dry.
They come in 2 by 4 and 2 by 8 and in only two grits, 800 and 8000.
Has anyone used these to hone or finish a straight razor and do they really not need lapping?
I would never suggest them as a razor hone. I have encountered them, and if my memory serves, they are similar to the spyderco hones. They will not remain flat forever, they are not very flat from the factory, they miss a lot of intermediate grits, and most importantly honing a razor needs a fluid. This fluid helps to remove the steel particles from the edge and reduces microchipping. That's only one of its functions and I find it important.
Thanks for keeping me from making a mistake. It sounded too good to be true, when I saw the ad. Are DMT's the only hones not needing lapping?
