Thanks Andrew for pointing that out, I was also wanting to pick one up at Lee Valley so I'm very interested/
The DMT is available online for quite a bit less but picking one up to my mind just makes sense to me as Lee Valley is close.
I did read somewhere on here that the DMT's had warping issues

Not saying the Dmt is a bad lapping plate, as I have no experience with one. Just figured the extra money on the Atoma seemed to be justified by other guys experiences. Maybe at some point I might pick up a DMT 325 just to try one. The Info here from the experienced guys has been great!!!!
I just re-read this thread and I think this is a great discussion and very informative. I have ordered an ATOMA 400. Maybe a 1200 in the future. Thanks for all the info.....
