Thats it...it does need to be soaked though. I like the chosera 800 or 1k better.
Yes it needs to be soaked a little but a couple minutes is enough.
Yes - that's the one. Like Castel says, a minute or two is enough, adding water while you lap is enough. It's a fast cutter, but also dishes quickly, so needs lapping rather frequently, but a good hone for the price. The Chosera 1k is undoubtedly better, but more expensive. In the end, both will do the job.

I found one at Rocklers but it was a combo. 250/1000 . The 250 is scary but I have used it a couple of times to shape and take frowns out. It doesn't take long and they say it's risky but it worked for me and saved a lot of time.Attachment 119294
I've got the King 1/6k combo. Cheap and efficient hone. Great for Bevel setting.
do i have to lap this hone?? like all others and do i lap both sides?
Me too. The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that its not as wide as my Nortons or Nani's. I haven't been honing long and it adds another dimension to the learning curve. I have just been canting the razor so the whole thing makes contact with the stone. Is this correct?
