Honing advice needed
I have a 4/8ths frameback detail razor which is made with a natural smile; and would like some advice from you experts on how to hone it. Particularly in forming the correct bevel ?
i.e. Use an x stroke, narrow hone, tape or not ?
Any advice would be gratefully received !
Many thanks

Here are some I did on honing a Smiling Blade.. You want to take a look at the one Charlie/Spazola did and the one that Alex/Philadelph did also they are quite similar but we all have a slightly different approach

Many thanks Glen for your help. Very interesting to see the differing techniques used by different experts, but all with the same great finish!
The main points that stand out to me are :
Go slooow , have patience and above all practice, practice and more practice !

Just finished honing two razors whilst constantly referring to the above videos.Set the bevel with a 1K Chosera, then went to a recently purchased Coticule ;made up a slurry and gradually diluted it until popping hairs. Then finished on a Charnley !
What I found very beneficial, was to constantly check the edge with a jewellers loupe and amend accordingly !
All in all the videos were a great help, very much appreciated Glen.
Many thanks
