Chinese 12K and dilucot method

Hello everyone. I just had a great experience and shave off the C12K and am now interested in learning more about this stone. I saw Glenn's one stone method on YouTube and it looks like the dilucot method on barts site coticule.be Has anyone else had success with this method on a CNat or c12k? How far down the 'scale' have you guys went with a c12k and a slurry?

Glen, have you done any more research/work with this stone? I have read where it took you four stones to find one you liked but have you found out anything else since then?

You read correctly, the issue here like every single natural is that they are differences in each stone..

All anyone can ever give is a system that works on the stone that is in their hands, each person has to take that advice and work their own stone to find the best way..

If you have one of the softer PHIG's that gives you a good edge then you should be able to work these systems pretty well, if on the other hand you have a Hard PHIG that gives off the scratchy slurry then you are dead in the water with this system.. There are many stones in between that will work in all sorts of ways..

You really have to figure out what your is capable of delivering...

Can you think of any tests to tell which stone it is, soft or not? It makes a slurry pretty quick. Does that matter? Next time I am honing with it what should I look for? Or can I make a slurry and tell how it feels on the skin? Talcum powder like vs crushed glass like? Just trying to brain storm from a very inexperienced brain. Hahaha.

Yup. Been through those links a couple times. :) lots of information but I didn't see anyone who used a method similar to glens one stone or Bart's diluticot method and was just curious. I may buy a cheapo razor and experiment a little.
