Yeah that's gotta be a 12k. The ones from crappy gift shops with a city name must be the 1 k. My Darth Vader is your father mug must be a 4 k for sure. High quality stuff.

While I have never ventured the stoneware sharpening system and heck it might even work. All I could think was milk and a brick.

Agreed - when there's nothing else around, it certainly does work.
But not exactly my honing stone of choice. ;)

I hear that bone china is the best, ask him if you can borrow a setting. Beside you are not shaving with a knife. Perhaps he would like to give you his razor to work over on his bone china too. People who have no clue seem to come up with some brilliant suggestions.

If one could bag all the crap on youtube you could start a manure selling business!

What about using your automobile window, just lower your window until a few inches is protruding from the door and use it...my dad showed me this for pocket knives & works well...should work just fine for your razor too!
