    To be honest it looks fishy... It looks to be a scam to drive the price up. One of those "trick you" kind of things. Someone might say "Oh, look at the interest in this item! It must be worth something! I'll buy it and hold onto it for a week and sell it for more later! Haha!" Something tells me that 5 minutes before bidding ends every one of those bids will mysteriously vanish. That is, of course, unless some unlucky sap puts his bid to it.
    Tisk...

    Of course, it does appear to be an Escher, and I hear those grab in a hefty profit...
