Hey-Just curious what kind of wood that stone is mounted on-looks like maybe desert ironwood?

Wostenholm IXL Frameback touch-up on my primitive-cut Arkie with WD-40. I hope you can see the video at the link. It's just a joy to hone on, and I'm definitely using the whole stone. Every 50 strokes or so, I'll flip it around to the other side to keep things even.

Pete-Since you asked, I just shaved with that edge on a lather of Oleo Caballero, and honestly, even as a teacher of Advanced English, words fail me. I'm pretty sure that was the most stupid sharp and smooth edge I've ever put on a razor-just remarkable. It just wiped 4 days of growth off effortlessly and quickly, and I didn't even strop it much after as I wanted to really get a sense of just the hone.
I've also been fine-tuning our biggest kitchen knives on it to burnish it further, so it just keeps getting better and better. Send me your best 12k edge, and I'll show you what I mean.
Aaron, I am getting the same results with the true hard that I got from Dan's a while back.
It's a stunning finisher to say the least. There is just something exceptional about what they do to a razors edge. Every one of my 125+ razors is finished on that stone. It's that good.
Thanks for the feedback!
