Is it possible if one honed enough on one side or did a say 5:1 ratio on a western grind razor that the outcome over time would be a kamisori? I'm debating trying this on a $3 gold dollar just to see what happens. What do you guys think?

Feel free to do whatever you want to that Gold Dollar. :beer2:
I believe you will have to study the geometry of the existing blade to determine that. Flat out grinding will change the bevel angle by quite a bit. That will answer your question. has

Kamisori are a total different grind to western, more like a hollow ground chisel. Have a look at a few pics to get the idea.
Not that i don't appreciate your respone but i have seen them before Mr. Grazor I just thought maybe if one got really interesting with their sub 1k work a kamisori ish grind could be achieved on a razor with enough steel to sacrifice. Of course you'd have to flatten the crap out of one side and even then you'd have a very hollow ground other side note just the slight hollow ground of a traditional kami..
I just thought it might be cool.
While I am amused at your sacrificing a GD GD razor in the name of science I cannot see how the geometry would work out. I think that they are far too hollow to be able to make it work.
I'm not sure you have enough steel there. You could make something that resembles a Kamisori but it would be like making an imitation gold ring.
