Thanks, i still want to learn how to refresh my own razors. Is that how you learned? Or have you been able to do them yourself now?

I taught myself using the resources on this site and asking questions and watching videos, primarily by Lynn Abrams and GSSixgun on YouTube.
There is a big difference between refreshing and honing from scratch. I buy my razors shave ready so I never have to set the bevel.
I strop before each shave and every so often do a few very light laps on my 12K. That should be all I ever need to keep me self sufficient.
In the future I might get into full honing and then I can expand what razors I can buy, but for now I have enough to keep me busy.
Here's some advice:

I'm going to take it for honing. Just would like to refresh razor after it's fixed.
You'll likely be pleased that you did. Honing can be learned through reading, watching and practice--so there's some good advice to get a few cheap practice razors, a good basic set-up, and then try to resist going down the rabbit hole for hones (if you can!). lol
