Pyramid troubles
Well lately ive been over looking my honing skills and frankly i can't get the pyramid to work for me, I don't no what it is but i can get a razor much sharper moving from low to high without the pyramid is this a bad thing? Also is it possible to make a razor to sharp?

Whatever works for you.
Too sharp is a wire edge and won't cut worth beans, just make you want to use pressure and raze yourself.

In my limited experience, I have found that pyramid "recipies" are only an educated guideline open to adjustment as deemed fit.
The best advice I have been given is by a gentlemen by the name of AFDavis11 in this thread:

He has some really good info and methodology. I just wish he or a forum moderator would turn his contribution into a "sticky"

Don't worry about it. If a straight progression works for you then use it. The pyramids are only a structured method that a new person can use to get the razor sharp.
There is more than one way to skin this cat!:)
