Hi,
I'm very interested in Jnat stones, and I'm wondering what would be a good Jnat stone to replace a Naniwa 3k - Naniwa 5k -Naniwa 8k, before a finishing stone?

There's plenty. Most suita should cover that easily. You don't have to use a jnat in that range if you have synthetics.
This for example:

I would like try a full jnat progression.
I would keep your synthetics until you have found the stone that does that progression for you. Jnats can do it but usually its easier to go up to 5k/8k and then a finishing jnat. Also might be able to get away with a finishing jnat and using diamond plate slurry to bring it up.
I wanted to do the same thing but figured out it was faster and easier to do a 1-8k synthetic then JNAT finish
I too wanted to try this and worked my way thru all the steps with naguras and all. Then tried the washita white for a middle ground. In the end i found the 1k thru 8k then jnat to be my choice in jnat finishes.
could always get a hard jnat finisher and save $$ by starting with some nagura to determine the types of naturals you like.
