Id almost put money on that!
After reading up to five pages of this thread. I certainly hope the OP, does not leave us hanging.
This is Heracles. My apologies for leaving anyone hanging. I sent my blade to a sharpening service in Oregon (after I did this I rec’d a few offers from members of this site offering to do it. They were closer to me but I’d already done it). They did a crackerjack job. I could’ve shaved my beard from 3 feet away the blade was so well sharpened. I almost lopped my ear off.
Now the next challenge, per advice from members of this site, is to get a few older blades and teach myself how to hone/sharpen.
Were always here to help. Yeah...those earlobes tend to bleed, like a stuck pig. :rofl2:
Thank you.
I used NOS and new quality razors to learn to hone. It takes one more variable out of the equation. I did not have to figure out what was wrong with the razors, nor did I have to deal with geometry issues. All I had to do was concentrate on my technique. Some time in the future, if you can go to a meet, the smaller the better, it’s an awesome place to learn.
