Questions for the honemeisters...
When my TI was no longer giving me good shaves I took a look under the microscope. There was chipping of the blade about 2 cm worth but only toward the toe end of the razor. On Lynn's video he explains doing small circles to get out the burrs and microchipping. Does this hold true for when it's only on one end of the blade? And if so how many circles do you think I'll have to make?
I would appreciate any feed back.

In my opinion, yes, and lots. Use your microscope to judge when to stop. Also complete the TNT for calibration and your learning curve as you go. Its good to determine when you can see a chip vs when you can feel it.
By the way, a razor *may* shave well with microchips. I have noticed this on some of my hone-jobs (e.g. I honed and tested, to my satisfaction, but was later surprised to see microchips with a j loupe - as I don't always use magnification if the edge looks nice) and also on razors I have gotten from honemeisters.
Michael did share that one of his favorite razors has a chip and he can't bring himself to hone it out so he uses it like this. Obviously, he is very happy with the way it shaves
Of course, many here may disagree - I am just sharing personal opinion and anecdotal experience. If a razor shaves badly - of course the issue needs to be addressed. Another disclaimer - supposedly shaving with microchips is only for advanced users. Or real macho men :D Taking out microchips is also harder to do well than, say, touching up an edge.

I've done many many circles on the norton 4k...and I'm slowly but surely honing out the 4-5 chips that have been plaguing my TI. thanks for your advice.
