hello! i have passed for 200 laps on green paste my razor...it is shaving very smooth...but the cutting power is decreased! ( i m experimenting a lot this days)
ho i can "reset" a finer edge?

200 strokes is a lot... You could try to move down to a stone with a lower grit like the coticule. Try 10 to 15 strokes and test with shaving. That's why I prefer stones over paste. Much more control and options and it's eay to undo overhoning.

I find when I use a pasted strop the razor doesn't last as long as when I use a stone. If I were you I would just use the coticule or belgian blue if thats what you have. I would hone in groups of 20 strokes and then test and then do another 20 until its where you want it to be.
I have worked with the green paste and I don't like it because it makes a mess, screws up a perfectly good piece of leather permanently, and the edges don't seem to last as long. The coticule and then natural leather works for me.

I hone on a ceramic barbers hone with a little lighting kerosene and Singers sewing machine oil (its like a light gun oil), then 20 or so strokes on the coarse side of my old Keen Edge strop, followed by 20 or so strokes on the fine side of said strop, no paste just plain leather. I do stop both before and after I shave, moderatly quick stokes and moderate pressure.

I agree, 200 is too much. You'll probably shorten the 'fins' on your edge.
Just finish with a stone, maybe 20/30 strokes on paste after that.
