Those stones really look like they're thuringian, not like a synthetic hone that I associate with barber hones.

I wouldn't use a hone on one Lynn has already done. You'll change the bevel angle or could and that would undo what he's already done. A treated strop with green chromium and then a regular strop should keep it going a long time. When it gets to the point that it doesn't work send it back to Lynn. You'll get probably 8 months use that way before honing is needed again.
