Colleagues, I should like to know where to obtain satisfactory tape to use on the spine of a NOS Filarmonica that I'm currently having difficulty with. Sellotape is no use (!), and if the UK honers could give me a lead I would be most grateful.
From a long-time honer—oil-stones and Bengall razors, well before synthetic water-stones were ever available…

You just need plain old electrical tape. It's available every where.
The cheap stuff's fine, but it last's ages if you wanted to splash out!
You can get it here, but i prefer to try to support my local suppliers.
+1 on electrical tape. I've used the same roll for 2 years and I'm not even halfway through, with a dozen razors to hone intermittently.
It's just electrical tape, as the Gents above have said.
