Any One Have experience with NANIWA Diamond Hones??
Are these the ones sold at SRD? If so, they have gotten rave reviews from some folks.

Naniwa Diamond Stones are aluminum 'stones' covered with a layer of about 2mm water stone with diamond as abrassive. This makes them real Japanse water stones and unlike other diamond stones, they last very long! The diamond powder makes that these water stones hone to times as fast as normal water stones. Looks like there is a different type then the Super Stones these seem to be more geared toward knives though
I wonder if they are good for setting bevels though.
If they work as good as the DMTs I see them being good for bevel setting IMLE.
I know the 1k Naniwa Super Stone sets bevels quick and smooth as I own one..
Never been a huge fan of Diamond stones for bevel setting only because of the deeper scratch patterns... But they do work fast...
Thats actually what I was thinking, for the money Im thinking just pick up a 1k for a better scratch pattern.Quote:
